This is an illustrative piece that I created for an art contest with the prompt " What it means to be human". My idea behind this piece revolved around teamwork, love, care, culture and family. The people in the photo live in a village. The town all works together to gather the harvest and this mother had gone out to gather the straw that the town uses to build their houses. She brought her daughter along who is leading the way and carrying water for them . 😊

I am grateful to say that I came in 1st place with the contest and it’s sparked a new fire within me to create more pieces similar to this!
